Panel Seals (Mineral Wool Panel Seals)
This involves a combination of an ablative-coated high density mineral wool and intumescent mastic system that is used to seal the void and prevent the spread of fire and cold smoke from the affected room to other room on the premises. The ablative ‘batt’ is cut, and friction fitted into the void, around any services and penetrations, and then sufficiently sealed with intumescent mastic to maintain a complete fire and smoke seal.
Fire protection panel seals are usually installed around pipes, conduits, cables, and ductwork that pass-through fire-rated walls and floors. They are designed to maintain the fire resistance rating of the building elements they are installed on, usually rated in terms of hours (e.g., 1-hour, 2-hour, etc.), which indicates the time they can withstand the spread of fire.
Ablative Cable Coatings
Ablative cable coating is a type of protective coating that is applied to cables to provide fire resistance and insulation. Ablative coatings are designed to char and slowly burn when exposed to high temperatures, forming an insulating layer that protects the underlying cable from damage. This coating can help extend the fire resistance of cables, allowing them to continue functioning for a longer period of time in the event of a fire. Overall, ablative cable coating plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of cables by providing an effective barrier against heat and fire.
Vermiculite Plasters.
Vermiculite plaster is a type of plaster made from a mixture of vermiculite and other binding materials. Vermiculite plaster is commonly used for insulation purposes, primarily in buildings and construction. Furthermore, vermiculite plaster is non-combustible and can withstand high temperatures. This makes it suitable for fire protection applications, such as coating steel beams. liquid petroleum vessels (LPG Tanks) or fireproofing walls and ceilings.
Fire Wall
Firewall passive fire protection refers to the measures taken to prevent the spread of fire from one area to another in a building or structure. Firewalls are walls or barriers constructed using fire-resistant materials with the purpose of slowing down or stopping the spread of fire, smoke, and heat. Passive fire protection features of a firewall may include fire-rated construction materials. These materials can withstand high temperatures and prevent the fire from penetrating through the wall.
Fire Curtain
Fire Curtain is designed to serve in demanding industrial processes. This product is suitable for use in refineries and related industrial facilities. The silicone coating is able to withstand chemical attack by water, certain acids and bases and many petroleum-based chemicals. It is able to create viable fire breaks where required. Smoke Curtain is a non-flammable fibreglass fabric which is used in applications where a flexible and non-flammable fabric is required. The fabric contains a proprietary coating which improves workability and reduces fraying normally associated with fiberglass fabrics.
